"Music Mends Minds" WOW-ed the crowd at the Rotary International Conference 2018 in Toronto, Canada!

The annual Rotary International Conference is a global platform for over 40,000 philanthropic Rotarians who gather to share and discover new community service projects that best serve humanity at large. The 2018 conference keynote speakers included Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, and former First Lady, Laura Bush.

Music Mends Minds presented our powerful music support program for seniors with cognitive decline to global Rotarians, looking for new community service projects.

Thank you, Rotary International Clubs and Amy Huggins (Vashon Rotary Club), for giving us an amazing global platform.

As part of our musical mission, MMM also aims to educate the public about the latest scientific findings regarding the benefits of music and the brain, and we successfully impacted the Rotary community.

Carol, MMM Co-Founder, was recognized by an audience of thousands of Rotarians learning about music and brain neuroplasticity (brain cell growth and rewiring).

Thank you, to the International Fellowship of Rotarian Musicians (IFRM), for inviting Carol to pitch our MMM story to their Global Board Members meeting in Toronto. Two Board members, Gregory Bakunzi and Ron Carey, have taken immediate action to introduce bands in Rwanda, Africa and the UK, respectively. IFRM membership reaches over 40 countries!

We have also formed additional contacts for global bands in India, the Philippines, Uganda, Canada, and Argentina, to name a few. Stay tuned for exciting updates.

Our patients with dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s as well as traumatic brain injury, stroke and PTSD, along with families and caregivers, will benefit from the fun of making music together!

Your contribution empowers seniors and communities worldwide. Help us spread the joy of music now!

With gratitude and love,
