Chris Freking

Administrative Assistant

Christopher Calvin Freking is a third-year Molecular, Cell, & Developmental Biology student  at UCLA. He is very passionate about the power of music and its effect on the mind, having been a self-taught guitarist since the age of 12 and an avid listener of music of many genres and cultures. On campus, he is the Internship Coordinator for the Pilipino Recruitment & Enrichment Program. He volunteers at Cedars-Sinai Hospital and multiple COVID relief organizations. In the future, he wishes to work in the medical field while also remaining active and engaged in the relationship between his cultural upbringing and music.

Janelle Quirante

Administrative Assistant

Janelle Quirante is a third-year psychology major at UCLA. Janelle's passions range very wide from training her puppy, Kobe, to building computers to modifying her car. She comes from a long line of healthcare workers, from nurses to surgeons, all who have helped shape her passion for psychology and the brain. On campus, she is an active member of Samahang Pilipino, a cultural club representing Filipinos. Janelle is an avid listener of music and appreciates a wide range of genres, even the music her parents grew up listening to! Janelle aspires to attend graduate school and earn a degree in Nursing, hoping to begin a career as a psychiatric nurse! For now, though, Janelle just enjoys giving back to her local community.

Henry Chen

Administrative Assistant

Henry is a 3rd-year at UCLA majoring in Biology with a minor in Global Health. He is very enthusiastic about music, having played the piano for over 14 years, and the violin for 8 years. At UCLA, he is a director for Asian American Tutorial Project club, and a member of the 2019-2020 Asian Greek Council.  He aspires to be involved in the medical field as a physician or surgeon in the future, and hopes to give back to his community.

Sam Baltejar

Administrative Assistant

Sam Beltejar is a second-year biochemistry major at UCLA. She is a classically trained violinist who has been playing for over six years. She is also the 2021-2022 Fundraising Director of Alpha Epsilon Delta, a pre-health fraternity and honor society. Because she is a violinist and an aspiring doctor, she loves the intersection of music and healing. Outside of school and music, she is a fencer and an avid language learner who is trying
to learn French and Italian. In the future, she hopes to go to medical school and possibly specialize in cardiology while keeping her passions of music and fencing alive.
