Meet The Band Leaders:

Alan Cohen
Alan earned his musical education from the guidance of private teachers and lessons in classical and jazz music and a Bachelor’s Music Degree in Jazz Studies from the University of Southern California (USC) in 1987. While he earned his degree in Jazz Studies, Alan also enjoys other musical genres, such as Pop, Progressive Rock, Blues, Gospel, and Original Compositions. His musical expertise extends to multiple string and percussion instruments, including the piano, keyboard, organ, 5-string electric bass guitar, electric guitar, drums, tympani, other percussion, and baritone vocals. WIth his skills in conducting, choir direction, composition, and performance, he has performed at many solo, band, and orchestra concerts in various venues across the country and in Europe, including Rhapsody in Blue at the 1984 Olympics Opening Ceremony in Los Angeles. Alan’s musical experiences and expertise will greatly contribute to our musical groups here at Music Mends Minds! Click Alan's image to listen to him sing "Wind Beneath My Wings"

Bryan Johnson
Bryan attended Northern Michigan University, followed by an internship at Milwaukee Rep, where he appeared in the original cast of the late Larry Shue's THE FOREIGNER.  Regional credits include the Denver Center Theatre Company (ALMOST HEAVEN, Premiere), Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (A CHILD'S CHRISTMAS IN WALES, THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK), Adirondack Theatre Festival (HEARTBEATS, MIMI LEDUCK), Stoneham Theatre (MAN OF LA MANCHA), Michigan Shakespeare Festival (TWELFTH NIGHT), Riverside Theatre (THE 1940'S RADIO HOUR), among others. 
 
Broadway: MAMMA MIA! Other NYC credits include I WANT MY TOKEN BACK! (Solo show, Bistro Award), MAX & MAXINE:  TOGETHER AGAIN! (Bistro Award), PHILEMON, and THE END OF CIVILIZATION. Tours: LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS (North America/Europe), THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW (Europe). Television: Blue Bloods, Ed, Kings, Law & Order, L&O: Criminal Intent, L&O: Trial by Jury, Onion News Network, Outlaw. Commercials/Voiceovers. GRAND THEFT AUTO V. AEA member since 1990.
